Sole ST90 Review: Why I Hate To Love This Treadmill

When I look for fitness equipment, I want something that makes me better and gives me a killer workout that I can only get through by uttering a few swear words. Will the Sole ST90 Treadmill make you better? Maybe. Will it whip you into #!@$-ing shape? Most likely!

Although I’ve run on so many treadmills that I’ve lost count–I’ve even sneaked into gyms to try models we don’t have when we have most. The Sole ST90 is the HARDEST treadmill I’ve ever run on.

I can only thank Sole for including free trainer-led workout videos and apps like Netflix and YouTube on the touchscreen because when I’m on the ST90, I need any distractions to push through–although sometimes my favorite show isn’t even enough to divert my dark thoughts or obscene language.

So, what makes the Sole ST90 so challenging? Let me take you to the Sole of why I hate to love the ST90.

Benefits of Low Intensity Cardio

A common misconception to exercise, especially cardio, is that you must be tired and out of breath at the end of it. Some folks even think that exercise doesn’t “count” unless you’re pushing yourself to the max and burning a ton of calories. I know this because I used to believe that, myself.

Exercise, specifically cardio, doesn’t have to be torturous. Low-intensity cardio has proven health benefits that might make you reconsider all your HIIT workouts, or at the very least entice you to add some low-intensity exercise into your fitness routine (which is what you should do, in my opinion).

Low-intensity cardio is also referred to as low-intensity steady-state cardio or LISS. If you’ve heard of programs like 12-3-30 that are making the rounds on social media, then you’re probably familiar with LISS training.

What Is Heart Rate Training And How To Use It In Your Workouts

What do you use to determine a good workout? Is it how fast you’re running or how many miles you’re logging on your bike? Maybe it’s how many calories you’re burning or how much you’re sweating. But what about your heart rate?

How fast your heart beats during exercise not only tracks how intense your workout is, it can also be used as a tool to improve your fitness and cardiovascular system. If this is a goal of yours, you should try heart rate training.

NordicTrack X22i Treadmill Review: Not For The Weak

Have you ever inclined a treadmill, waited until it reached its peak, and thought, “That’s it?”. The NordicTrack X22i’s 40% incline will have you thinking, “That’s enough!”. This treadmill is not for the weak, but that’s why I like it. It stands out in home gyms with treadmills offering only 12-15% inclines and boring treadmill workout modes.

The 40% incline is TOUGH! My glutes are on fire within minutes, yet iFIT has me ready to tackle Mount Everest. Okay, maybe not, but I feel like I’m training for it on the X22i. Following iFIT trainers up mountains on the 22” touchscreen and the extremely comfortable running surface are just two reasons why the X22i is rightfully a top treadmill to consider, at least in our (humble) treadmill-reviewing expert opinion.

12-3-30 Treadmill Workout Pros & Cons

The 12-3-30 treadmill workout is a workout making its rounds on social media. You might have even seen people doing it at your local gym. So, what is it, and does it have benefits? Is it for you or is it just another random TikTok workout?

If you aren’t familiar with the 12-3-30 workout, here’s what it’s about. Social media influencer, and Youtuber, Lauren Giraldo, created the workout that she says helped her lose 30 pounds.

The 12-3-30 treadmill workout is where you set the incline on your treadmill to a 12% incline at 3 mph and walk for 30 minutes. The treadmill stays at that incline and speed for the duration of the workout.

AssaultBike Elite Review 2024 - We’re Still Winded

If you know about air bikes, then you heard about AssaultBikes. I’ve even heard of air bikes from other brands called AssaultBikes. Undoubtedly, they’re popular, but is the top-of-the-line AssaultBike Elite worth it? What makes it different?

Along with its durability, the Elite is the bike you hop on when you want to sweat because you will within a few minutes. Air bikes are tough, and the Elite lives up to this, boasting a classic and well-adjusting design.

Although it holds a special place in my heart as the first air bike I had the pleasure of reviewing here at TRG, this fan bike has some things I’m not a fan of. Let me explain below.

10 Amazing Benefits Of Walking On A Treadmill

When most people hear the word “treadmill”, they associate it with running, but walking on a treadmill has amazing benefits and shouldn’t be overlooked. Walking can help improve your overall health, which includes your body both internally and externally, as well as your mind.

The all-or-nothing approach is common when it comes to getting in daily exercise. We are often wired to think that we must train super hard and for long periods to see results. Many people think that exercise only counts if we’re struggling to catch our breath and drenched in sweat by the end. The truth is, walking on a treadmill has great health benefits, is more widely available, and is a wonderful low-impact exercise that you can do every day.
